Next Stop: The Intergalactic Epicenter in Clearwater, Florida?
No trip to Washington D.C.'s Dupont Circle is complete, or at least spirtually fulfilling, without a stop into the Mother Ship. Two friends and I ventured into Scientology's founding church for a tour. Apologies to the Lyndon Larouchers spreading their fuhrer's propaganda outside, but the ecstatic trance in the unblinking eyes of our guide recruited more impressionable individuals with their message of "join me friend; let me wash your brain" than your hateful ultra-liberalism. Less than a minute into take off, she assured us that "no, we do not eat placentas;" snacks, alas, are not provided on the tour.
